MORE PICTURES . . .

I forgot to mention in Ava's 1 month old blog that she has started smiling. To my dismay she is an early riser, and seems most happy when I change her first thing in the morning. She gives me her best smiles in the morning on her changing table (this makes me feel better about being up so early). So here are some pictures of her smiling and other random pictures.

AVA'S FIRST PARTY!

This past weekend my work had a baby shower for Ava and I. Ava was trully the star of the show and was a trooper being passed around the room. Dena and Linda went above and beyond with food and decorations (no detail was missed)!!! Ava got some very nice gifts . . . a BIG thank you to everyone! Both grandmas and auntie Chelsea also attended the shower and daddy and grandpa came at the end to help retrieve the gifts and enjoy some cake. Thank you again to everyone for a great evening! Although I am in NO hurry to go back to work (and dread having to leave Ava) I do miss my co-workers . . . I shall see you all in September!

1 MONTH OLD

Ava is now a month old (June 14). Here are a few pictures from her 1 month birthday weekend. For Father's Day we went over to Medford. There is a picture of Ava snoozing on Papa Wade. Before heading home on Monday Ava had a good visit with her great-grandparents (here is a picture with great-grandma Rohlf).

Tomorrow Ava will be 1 month old (I can't believe it)! She is really starting to get very expressive. I wanted to try to capture some of her looks today. She was a little shy at first but quickly warmed up (what a good model).

A WEEK OF FIRSTS

Last weekend Ava had her first public outing. We went to Eureka for a good friends bridal shower (there is a picture of Renee, Ava and I). Then this weekend Ava made her first church appearance. Grandma and I had a lot of fun dressing her up - she even wore shoes. After church she went to her first BBQ. All the church ladies enjoyed passing her around - as I chased everyone around with the hand sanitizer (can you tell I am a first time mommy).

Ava is continuing to grow fast, she seems to be working on a third chin (yes I said THIRD). Gabe is in awe at her belly and thighs. We really enjoy her awake and alert hours as she is tracking more and more with her eyes - we are anxiously awaiting her first real smiles.

3 weeks old

Ava is 3 weeks old already. I can't believe how much she has changed. She is already growing out of clothes and fitting into the bigger ones - I suppose I shouldn't be surprised but I just thought she would be a tiny newborn longer.
